Breadsticks are pencil-sized sticks of crisp, dry bread that comes from Italy. They were originally thought to have originated in the 14th century.
They are usually offered as an appetizer in restaurants and may also be combined with ingredients such as prosciutto as an hors d’oeurvre. They are frequently topped with garlic sauces and Parmesan cheese
So can gerbils eat breadsticks?
Yes they can nibble on them but they have no nutritional value for them so are not a staple food that you would feed them.
There are much better foods for them to eat.
