Pumpkin seeds are the seeds that are found at the centre of pumpkin. They are usually covered in pulp and need cleaning before eating.
So can gerbils eat pumpkin seeds?
Yes they can but feed them in small amounts on an occasional basis as they are high in fat.
It is not good to feed them foods with too much fat in them as their bodies are not designed to deal with too much fatty foods.
If you do decide to feed them pumpkin seeds, then a few at a time is good for them as they will eat anything that you give them.
