Can gerbils eat lavender?

Lavender is a genus of 47 known species of flowering plants in the mint family.

It is native to the Old World and is found from Cape Verde and the Canary Islands, Europe across to northern and eastern Africa, the Mediterranean, southwest Asia to southeast.

It is a very popular herb known for its aromatic smell.

Can gerbils eat lavender?

Unfortunately they can’t it is just too potent for them to eat. There are better plants for them to consume such as daisies and dandelions.

If you are looking for a good herb to give a gerbil to nibble on then parsley is better for them.
