Can gerbils eat sesame seeds?

Sesame seed is a common ingredient in various cuisines. It is used whole in cooking for its rich, nutty flavor.

They can be served on their own or as part of their staple food mixed in.

However, they shouldn’t be served them constantly.

When they are served as part of a good diet they can really benefit a gerbil.

A supplement of veggies and fruits can then back this up as well as hays and a constant supply of water in their water bottle.

Yes they can eat them on an occasional basis as an addition to their main diet. They make a good supplemental to their usual gerbil mix, water and other treats.

Make sure that they are thoroughly washed before feeding them to your gerbil so that they are free of pesticides or harmful bacteria.
