As you can see, walnuts contain a hint of sodium, a little water, a lot of phosphorus, calcium, acidic and fat content.

This means they are not the best food for gerbils. They can have one or two of them, but it is not recommended that they have more than that as they are too full of fat for them to handle

Gerbils cannot handle the amount of fat that we can in their diets. Simply, put they will get sick if they have too much fat.
